The very first version of EJBCA is released.
PrimeKey Solutions AB
2002
PrimeKey is founded around EJBCA and starts off as a consultancy around the open source product.

2006
The first edition of SignServer is released.
New owners

The Pomona Group steps in as majority owner of PrimeKey.

2012
EJBCA achieves its first Common Criteria certification.

Our German company, PrimeKey Labs Gmbh is founded.

2013
The first version of our groundbreaking product EJBCA Appliance is released.
NPKD
2015
The National Public Key Directory, NPKD, is released, simplifying governments’ management of epassports.

2017
The patented and FIPS-certified PrimeKey SEE is released.

2017
The US company PrimeKey Inc. is founded as PrimeKey acquires the previous partner C2 Company.
EJBCA Cloud
2018
EJBCA Cloud is released on AWS, and later on Azure.

PrimeKey acquires Crypto Workshop, the company behind the cryptographic APIs Bouncy Castle.

PrimeKey Identity Authority Manager, IdAM, is released and enables smooth provisioning of birth certificates on factory floors.
