The worlds most used PKI now available in the cloud

EJBCA, the worlds most used PKI, is now available in the cloud. Easy to try, pay as you grow and just a few minutes to get started are only some of the benefits.

The PrimeKey Certificate Authority (CA) product EJBCA Enterprise has long been available as a flexible software and as a robust Appliance, to suit any organizations need. With the growing IoT space, enterprise security needs and increasing use of cloud services the time has come to launch EJBCA Enterprise in the cloud. This means that you can now deploy your security solution in a manner that best fits your organization and your use case scenarios, be that as a software, as an Appliance, in the cloud or in a hybrid solution. Regardless of your situation, robust security is available to all.

With a cloud solution you can start small and grow along with your business. This is really good for start up IoT businesses who aren't able to invest in a full size security solution but who still need to secure their devices. By only paying for what they need, companies can start with a secure solution from start and go to market with a product ready for a harsh reality with attacks and cyber threaths.

But it's not only growing IoT companies who can benefit from PKI in the cloud. Many companies today don't have any hardware on-prem, except WI-FI access points and printers, and others have started to migrate parts of their infrastructure to the cloud, as they prefer operational costs over large up-front investments.

As a first step, EJBCA Enterprise can be found on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) marketplace. No long-term contracts or up-front commitments and you can still leverage the AWS scalable, reliable and global infrastructure. To ensure the integrity of your solution, EJBCA Enterprise Cloud integrates with the FIPS 140-2 Level 3 validated AWS CloudHSM. If you prefer an on-prem Hardware Sercurity Module (HSM), EJBCA Enterprise Cloud is of course compatible with the standard HSMs as well.

EJBCA Enterprise is designed for scalability, robustness and security, and follows best practice Common Criteria security evaluation standards. Combining that with AWS GovCloud, that is designed to allow U.S. government agencies and its customers to leverage the cloud for Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) data, makes for a turnkey PKI system for many government agencies looking for cloud solutions.

PrimeKey EJBCA Enterprise includes Certificate Authority, Registration Authority and Validation Authority (OCSP and CRL) components. As security is a moving target, it is important to keep any security solution up to date and EJBCA Enterprise Cloud has two different support levels available for software updates and to help with any questions or concerns that may occur. EJBCA Enterprise Cloud is currently being launched at the AWS re:Invent show in Las Vegas.
