You can only assure quality if there is quality

According to Katharina Willmann, the Quality Assurance Manager at PrimeKey, you can only assure quality if there is quality. Katharina says, “It is the job of me and my team to make sure that we keep our high quality and improve on it. That is why working at PrimeKey feels so great. PrimeKey products are of good quality and as a PrimeKey customer you can rely on us and actually enjoy your holidays, knowing that our solutions work.”

Katharina continues, “Ask yourself – if the product you have to assure is of poor quality, where does this leave you? That is why working at PrimeKey feels so great. PrimeKey products are of good quality. My team works closely with the development teams, so that issues are identified as early as possible during development. Assuring quality and improving quality is much more easy when everyone pulls together. We have a really good working relationship at PrimeKey. When you find a bug, everybody is grateful and it is a truly positive reply you can’t take for granted.”

As well as being the Quality Assurance Manager at PrimeKey, Katharina spends most of her spare time with her family when she is not doing sports. Katharina studied in Aachen and has been working in quality assurance for 15 years. She is an iSQI-certified agile tester and an ISTQB-certified test manager.

When asked why she ended up at PrimeKey, Katharina smiles and says, “It had been my dream to work at PrimeKey ever since I heard about the German subsidiary for the first time. Two years ago my dream came true when there was a vacant Quality Assurance position in Germany and I really hope nobody wakes me up from this dream.”

“I favour the PKI Appliance. It is an amazing product which brings important solutions together. It is incredibly exciting every time we carry out integration testing of EJBCA and SignServer on the PKI Appliance. Seeing how everything works together. It enables customers to use EJBCA and SignServer out-of-the-box.”

When asked about the future, Katharina says, “EJBCA 6.6.0 will be the next big challenge. You can compare this process with having a child – you want the best for it and you take care of it. And as a mother I know that you only sleep well if everything is fine with your children.
