The Role PrimeKey is looking to recruit a highly qualified and motivated IT Technical Support Officer for our lab in Aachen. You have at least 4-5 years experience with implementation and maintenance of IT infrastructure, and with directly supporting experienced software developers in ensuring a stable and interruption-free work environment. You will be part of the cross-site international IT team with a base in Solna, Sweden, and will be the local delegate for this team in your permanent work office in Aachen. You’ll be responsible for the smooth running of computer systems and ensuring that users get maximum benefits from them. Your duties include: monitor and maintain computer systems and networks set-up and administration of LINUX based servers, devices and tools cooperative and self-motivated with your internal customers – the PrimeKey employees – proactive with a series of actions to help set up systems or resolve issues troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults align the IT architecture and strategies with the other international PrimeKey locations, especially the headquarter in Solna / Sweden support the global IT team with implementing cross-site activities locally in Aachen replace parts as required provide support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports support the roll-out of new applications support on- and off-boarding of employees, set up new users’ accounts and profiles and deal with password issues respond within agreed time limits to call-outs prioritize and manage many open cases at one time test and evaluate new technologies.
